Miura Biography
Diego and Illorca are known for being the rhythm section of TIMORIA, one of the most popular and influential Italian bands since ‘90s, by issuing 12 albums (two golden records), twenty videoclips and performing hundreds live concerts. In November 2002, Timoria splitted. Diego and Illorca continued to play together, and went back to their rock’n’roll roots. After a while they had a contact with Killa, the guitar player and composer of Alligator, metal band with three albums issued in the late ‘80s. Killa played also in the crossover band Zona (three albums issued) in the early ‘90s. Killa joined Diego and Illorca as a guitar player in their new project. The last but not the least, Jack joined the band as singer with his talented voice and brilliant personality during September 2003. On December 2003, following a year of strong and straight work, Miura arranged all the new songs and were ready to record their first studio album. In February 2004 the recording session started at Esagono Recording Studio in Rubiera (RE). Along them worked both Claudio Morselli and Carlo Pinna as sound engineers. In March 2006 they take part of the monologue “Niente più niente al mondo” performed at Teatro Due in Parma. For the occasion many of their original compositions are used by the director Francesco Migliaccio to set Massimo Carlotto’s lyrics. At the end of 2006 Jack leaves the band. In the early months of 2007 Max Tordini, ex Mesas singer, joins the band , the line up is completed. March 2007, Miura starts the pre-production reharsals and chooses Giorgio Canali (CSI, PGR, Rossofuoco) as producer for the album.
