100 Yorktown Biography
Formed in 2003 by lead singer Jordan Edwards and bassist Rajesh Bangdiwala, 100 Yorktown has finally come into its own. With the additions of Christian Smith (formerly of After Letting Go) on lead guitar, Ben McDonald on drums, and the reintroduction of James McHale on rhythm guitar, 100 Yorktown has a sound they can run with. They've been told they sound "like Foo Fighters mixed with Stone Temple Pilots." Jordan is a grunge kid at heart, with favorite bands like Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots. "Everytime he moved, I remember the first thing he would put up in his new room was this poster of (STP singer) Scott Weiland" recalls Rajesh. Their music also has a hint of Metal in the guitar parts, that's Chris's doing, his favorite band is Between the Buried and Me. Together this 5-piece creates a music that is unlike anything else out right now, but still has a sense of familiarity. Their debut EP, entitled "Rocking You Harder and Longer," came out September 1st.
