The unique 7minds style of melodic rock combined with intense lyrics and a 3-piece horn section can be heard on any of their 4 CDs (produced by Over the WOL Records, Inc). Although the band is no longer touring, most of the music can still be downloaded on iTunes or Amazon.com MP3. “Seaside Tony” (from the EP of the same name) became one of the most requested songs of the summer on WHTG, Asbury Park, NJ (106.3 FM) and was voted Asbury Music Awards “Song of the Year” in 1999. “Seaside Tony” was also added to playlists of many other NJ stations including WDHA and WKOE (Top 20). The song is still in rotation on 106.3 during the summer months and has proven to be a NJ phenomenon as the definition of a “Seaside Tony” can now be found on the nationally popular website; Urban Dictionary (www.urbandictionary.com). Alt-rock guru Matt Pinfield, formerly of WHTG-FM, MTV, and FarmClub, was the first to discover 7minds and place several tracks into regular rotation on their hometown radio station. No Time, the band’s first full-length CD, soon after witnessed nationwide radio support when the crowd favorite track “Coffee” debuted on CMJ’s top-twenty adds. The album was in rotation at over 200 stations. No Time spawned numerous tracks that have been featured on internationally distributed compilations and movies.
