AA Biography
Aa (pronounced 'big a little a') is an evolving rhythm experiment based in Brooklyn, NY. Using treated vocals, keyboards, blissed-out electronics and tons of drums, the quintet has built up quite a rep with their rowdy live shows and compelling albums. Aa began as a three-piece in late 2002 and have shared the stage with bands like Sonic Youth, TV on the Radio, Lightning Bolt, XBXRX and the Fall. They have releases on Narnack, Cardboard, Deleted Art ,Kill Shaman, and Deathbomb Arc record labels. AA (pronounced "A A") is a postpunk group from Belgium, who released the "Essential Entertainment" EP in 1981. After a re-release on CD in 1994 on the "4X4" CD on the Antler/Subway-Classix label, together with De Brassers, Struggler and The Cultural Decay, the original EP has been re-released on vinyl by Brooklyn label "Softspot Music" in may 2009. + - The songs on the EP are: "Suicide Fever", "Society Stinks", 'The Shot" and "Hymn Of Praise" + - AA on myspace
