Abstraction may refer to: 1) A melodic death metal band 2) A French dark ambient/8-bit artist 3) Scottish Indie Band 1) Abstraction is a melodic progressive metal band with roots in Death Metal. Formed in 2005 by John Brisentine (Guitar and Vox) and Brian Vandegrift (Drums). Later members include Ryan Thall (Guitar and Vox) and Spencer Setters (Bass). 2) The French Abstraction released 'Abstraction' in 2011. It's downloadable here: 3) The Scottish Indie band Abstraction come from Loanhead a small town just outside Edinburgh. They released 'Optics And Alice' on the small Scottish Indie Label: Lone Head Records.
