Adam Schwartz Biography
Adam Schwartz is a composer, singer-songwriter, performer, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer. Starting with classical piano lessons at age seven, Schwartz has been studying, performing, and writing music for most of his life. An admittedly poor site-reader, Schwartz prides himself on being a musician who "plays by ear." Hearing a song once is usually sufficient for him to be able to play it back to you on the piano. In 2003, at only 15, Schwartz started a small recording studio and indie-label, Natural Log Productions, which recorded several local bands including his own. In 2005, he released his first commercial album "Black & White" on iTunes and other online stores through The Orchard, a large distributor of independent music. Since then, Schwartz has spent less time writing rock music, and more time composing contemporary music for large ensembles such as Jazz and Symphony Orchestras. Schwartz, with influences such as John Williams and Danny Elfman, has aspirations of one day scoring major Hollywood films. Full scores of compositions can be found on the music page of his website: http://polymath.mit.edu/music. (updated 3/9/2009)
