Alexander Nderitu Biography
The mysterious Alexander Nderitu is the new face of Alternative Hip-Hop. Hailing from East Africa, this multi-talented songwriter/singer/rapper/producer displays an eclectic palate in his Afro-centric music and often blurs genres. His influences include Hip-Hop, Rock, Jazz, Neo-Soul and traditional African folk music. He notably plays a kalimba in many of his recordings. Also a book writer (author of 'The Moon is Made of Greene Cheese' and 'When the Whirlwind Passes'), Nderitu's unique brand of music is spiced up with Spoken Word pieces and some of his poems served on a bed of beats. It's no wonder that Nderitu has been described in the press as 'one of the brilliant young writers to come off the Kenyan terrain in the recent past' and 'more talented than Mr.Ripley!' His first album, scheduled for release in late 2008 / early 2009, is called, 'The Spoken Word Vol1. - The Great Black Hope'
