Audioweb Biography
Audioweb was a rock/reggae/electronica band from Manchester, UK that formed in 1991 as The Sugar Merchants. The lineup consisted of Martin Merchant, Sean McCann, Robin File and Robert Maxfield. The band had two UK top 40 hits: "Policeman Skank...(The Story Of My Life)" and "Bankrobber", a cover of a Clash song. The band broke up in 1999. Sean McCann currently plays with Badly Drawn Boy, and Maxfield plays for Ian Brown. Martin 'Sugar' Merchant now fronts new band SupaJamma, new release 'That Was Then, This is Now' out in May 2010.
