Bria Valente

Bria Valente, who is a protegée of Prince, released her debut album, Elixer, along with Prince's release of LotusFlow3r and MPLSOUND, for a three-disc set on March 29, 2009. In the US, the set is exclusively available at Target stores. Prince told the Los Angeles Times in December that "a whole lot of people are gonna get pregnant off of this," in reference to one of the ballads on Valente's debut. Access Hollywood says: Valente's "Elixer" - is just that, a very sweet blend of sultriness. This young lady has a voice that matches her beauty, and it's about as smooth as hot chocolate sauce pouring out over two scoops of ice cream. Previous music projects: Bria was the featured vocalist on the 2006 Golden Globe winning "Song of the Heart" with Prince for the Happy Feet movie soundtrack. Valente is a credited vocalist on Prince's Planet Earth album for "Mr Goodnight". Bria also provided background vocals for Ushers 8701 album. Born and raised in Minneapolis MN, her ethnic background is Bolivian.
