Canton Biography
Canton Becker (cantonbecker.com) - Santa Fe, NM - has been recording solo electronic music since 1987, when -- as a teenager -- he was inspired by the sounds of music technology pioneers such as Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk, and Jean Michel Jarre. His style is difficult to pin down, as it ranges from crystalline ambient music to emotionally evocative pounding techno. Canton toured with Ottmar Liebert + Luna Negra in 2002 & 2003, blending electronic percussion with Ottmar's signature nouveau flamenco sound.
