Cat Mother And The All-Night Newsboys were an late sixties / early seventies american countryrock group, known for their songs Good Old Rock 'n Roll and Strike a Match and Light Another. One of their founder members was violinist and songwriter / composer Jay Ungar; other members were keyboarder Bob Smith, guitarist Roy Michaels, guitarist / violinist Larry Packer and percussionist Michael Equine Cat Mother and the All Night News Boys published albums on major label Polydor Records: Albion Doo-Wah (recorded February/March 1970 at Pacific High Recording) and The Street Giveth... And The Street Taketh Away.
