Chris Glassfield Biography
Chris Glassfield is a British-based classical guitarist whose unique, sensitive playing comfortably combines the genres of classical, jazz and “new age”, producing a result which is both harmonious and melodically rich. He now lives in Totnes, Devon, where a lively artistic community and delightful rural environment combine to stimulate and nurture his musical work. Chris’s music is often used on high-profile television and radio programmes in the UK, USA, Japan and Korea (where his album Blue Glass reached number one in the classic/jazz and new age charts). In 2008, De Wolf Music released a new solo album specially for radio, film and television use: The Blue Guitar; and Chris began a collaboration with flautist John Hackett, joining Steve Hackett to contribute to his brother's Prelude to Summer album. Three of Chris's albums have recently been released world-wide on iTunes: Autumn Kiss , Happy Traveller and Wintertime (which has been completely re-mastered for its new release.) Prelude to Summer will also be available soon on iTunes. Official Website: http://www.symbiosis-music.com/chris_glassfield.html
