No, Curse the Mariner is not to blame for Ken Griffey Junior's injury plagued career. These five friends from Queensbury, NY can only be held accountable for the amount of unadulterated rock n’ roll they produce. Coming together in May of 2007, CtM formed with a single purpose: to make music they liked. In a time where most screamo/hardcore bands are afraid to step up to the task of creating something new, Curse the Mariner seamlessly blends classic rock riffage into an amalgam of punk and hardcore. From their wonderfully alliterative lyrics and tight as a virgin musicianship, CtM comes at you with hooks worthy of Mike Tyson’s arsenal. The results can be heard on their debut "The Scourge EP." From the opening chords of the face-melting “Clearing” to the final orchestral moments of “A Dance With Jack Ketch,” one can only wish that they recorded more songs. One can only dream of what is to come.
