But the persistence paid off in name recognition and proving the quality of a song matters above all. The band hit a bump in the road when vocalist Mike Meadows left the group in 2007. The band began recording a follow up album with a new vocalist but it was eventually delayed as the band took a well deserved break to re-charge and re-focus. During the down time the album "Sacred Relics" was released consisting of all the bands early demos followed by what was completed from the "Strong Now Stained" sessions. Ditchwater re-emerged in late 2010 with vocalist Mike Meadows returning to the mic to put back together the most powerful and successful version of the band. The core group of Meadows with Mark Anderson (guitar) Jason Angone (drums) are now joined by Nathan Osterberger (Bass) and Ryan Dickinson (guitar). In late June of 2011 2 new songs were released titled "Save Your Apologies" and "Already Dead" and made available as free downloads. The songs are a precursor to a new album scheduled for late 2011.
