Don Harrison Band Biography
Although Don Harrison was the lead singer and his name was lent to the band, the DHB was indeed a full band, rounded out by guitarist Russell DaShiell and, from Creedence Clearwater Revival, Stu Cook on bass and Doug "Cosmo" Clifford on drums. They released two albums on the Atlantic Records label: The Don Harrison Band in April, 1976 (which featured the Memphis Horns) and Red Hot in January of 1977. However, by the time of the second LP's release, the DHB was in the midst of splitting up. When Don Harrison announced he was leaving the band, the remaining three members considered continuing together under the same band name but ultimately decided it would be too confusing if Don Harrison was not a member of the Don Harrison Band.
