Eyeshine

Eyeshine's 4 piece edge rock band is emerging as one of the most promising unsigned groups out of California. With an arsenal of songs delivering huge hooks, infectious melodies, and elusive lyrics. Johnny and Maurice began performing together 7 years ago in a church band. They eventually decided to take a shot at writing and playing their own original music. The band went through many incarnations until settling on the name Eyeshine in 2004. Alex joined the guys the following year becoming their bassist during the recording of their demo in 2007. Danny Lee would also join the band the same year. The independently produced EP, "How About That" was received well by fans and helped them to acquire enough gigs across the states to increase their following. "It helps a little to be an Ex-Power Ranger," states front man Johnny. "The fans have always been supportive and we certainly wouldn't be here without them." They released their full length debut album, "Red Stripes/White Lights" in early 2008. The band has stated that they will be releasing an acoustic album, "Afterglow", and a third untitled CD in the near future. On March 23, 2009, Johnny stated on his MySpace that Alex and Danny would be leaving the band due to Alex being more involved with a church band and Danny wanting to spend more time with his new wife. The band has said that they have already found replacements for the absence of Alex and Danny. Recently, Eddie Page is now the new lead guitarist, and Tori Dozier is the new bassist and is continuing their work on their CD, "Paper Kingdom". However in March 10, 2010, Tori has also left the band to pursue a different music style, but is still very good friends with Johnny and the others as posted on the bands' MySpace. With Tori gone, they once again searched for a replacement bassist. They announced on March 28 on their MySpace blog, that Crystal Mesina will be the new bass player, making her the first female to join the group.
