The band consited at the time of Knut Glesnes (El -Guitar), Kurt Nilsen (Vokal and guitar), Anders Isaksen (Bass) and Christer Unneland (drumbs). In 1998 Breed released a singel called "Shoe", which was printed in 300 copies. After a while of concerts, songwriting and hard work Breed/Fenrik Lane got their final breakthrough when they changed theire name to Fenrik Lane and released an EP called "Come Down Here". They also changed bassplayer from Anders Isaksen to John Erik Soltvedt the same year. 2003 was a year full of joy and excitement for the four guys. Kurt Nilsen joined the Norwegian version of Pop Idol, and won, getting 53% of the votes in the final. As Kurt got busy with the solo career following his win, the band, including Kurt Nilsen, agreed to make Knut Glesnes the head vocalist and to release a cd without Kurt Nilsen. This resulted in the album "Lane of Life", which was released on September 10 2006.
