Haji's Kitchen Biography
formed in 1992 or 1993 (official page is not even sure) by Derek blakley, Eddie Head, Brett Stine, and Clint Barlow. at the time of the form, they didnt even have a name, that was until one day Eddie came into the recording studio with his much loved (but extremely smelly) indian food. Netherless the band smelled it, and Clint has the gaw to say, "Damn.. it smells like Haji's Kitchen in here". the name stuck. in the bands early days, they played mostly instrumental songs, until one day they borrowed Eddie Ellis from Tommy Lamey to sing on a few tracks. he was later let go from Tommy, and joined full time.afterwards in 1994, Clint left the band and left Rob Stankiewicz, also of Tommy Lamey, to fill the gap. this is the line up to later be signed to Shrapnel Records and release their debut album. sometime later, another band member left, Brett Stine. but in his his abscence he gave Haji his brother, scott. then another lineup change eddie ellis was given the "boot" due to unreliability. Vince Mullins was then hired to replace him. Haji is best known for their two songs in the anime Dragonball Z movie, Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan, Lost, and Day After Day, although not to be confused with Gravity Pool, which sounds a lot like Haji due to the fact that Vince Mullins is vocalist. Gravity Pool's songs included Reach and Wont Give In off Broly.
