Hotstylz Biography
In 1997, at Dunbar Vocational High School in Chicago, Raydio G, Meatball, Steelo and Tahchi met in the school cafeteria. Steelo started making beats on the table, and they began to freestyle. Capturing the attention of their classmates, they began to perform verses they wrote. Loving the response, they decided to create a group putting on lunch room shows everyday. They later named the group Hotstylz, and started doing talent shows at Dunbar and other high schools. In the summer of 2000 the group added a new member "G-money" and recorded their second single "Juke Wit Me", which got them their first spin on the radio. As time went on member "Tahchi relocated to Texas and "Steelo" set off for the army. The remaining members continued to record and perform shows locally. 2002 came with the addition of "Krazee" which lead to their first album "The Bootleg Filez". The first single off the album "Shimmie Shake It" was played in house parties all across Chicago. Not selling the album, the group gave free copies to gain recognition giving music lovers a chance to experience a new sound. In 2004, "Steelo" returned to the group introducing two new artist "Drastic" and "D.J Sco". with a new look, long time friend "Big O" established the label "Outfit Entertainment" bringing many more opportunities. Late 2006 "Hotstylz" began recording songs for their upcoming album "Hot Product", performing at showcases, clubs, colleges, etc.
