Hwood

Makio S. Haywood, known as Hwood, was born in Los Angeles, CA on October 19, 1978. Makio has been around music all his life, but speed was more his thing. In the 8th grade at Woodrow Wilson Middle School, in Pasadena, he ran in a track meet and won! Known for speed, as a sophomore he ran 100m and 200m races and won! While attending John Muir High School, he became a hurdler and broke records, won State, and National ranking. At age 20, Makio qualified and went to Olympic Trials and won first round qualification, but not second, so he didn't qualify.Hwood started to rap at age 11 for fun, but really got into it at age 20 he started to get serious with music. He found a keyboard in the house and learned how to make beats. After finding the keyboard, he quickly learned music terms such as bars, sequencing, intro, verse, hook, bridge, B section, alternate hook, vamp and vampout. He quickly became a producer for himself and others and started creating songs over his beats or music. Then he started the label "Mystyle Records" and has two albums (HomeMade) and (Art Of Hwood), Art Of Hwood is the album he released and is working
