In January Best is consist of two boys name Kevin Sann and Branden Taylor from Manomet, Massachusetts. Both whom at the same age have shared the same dream of becoming a well known indie pop artist. As many people have question about their band name as, "scene" or too "emo" for their genre. In January Best stood as one of the best acoustic band influence by so many bands they grew up listening to. They have evolve from their early stages, a pop punk band to a powerpop group to an electronica sound and matured later on their young career. In 2005, when they first began writing music with a full band, all of their songs were recorded by their manager, Danny Kee, who left the band leaving an establlish band with nothing. The difficulties, the drama, the gossip with this group is they never stood out. And nothing had really exceed or accomplish. For a young group of artists who was succeeding and had tons of support before was doubting themselves. They separated, are still good friends, but left an amazing sound behind and disappeared like nothing ever happen. After so many years gone by, they were quickly losing popularity and a lot of fans. Four years later, the year 2009, with music trends changing ever so quickly, with so many type of collaborations. "There's so many sound we can experiment with. We tried out making crunk and screamo music for a week. Then we wrote some r&b the newxt week, I guess we came back because we love making music," says Kevin. And then, it all happened again with Branden rejoining the band for the love of writing music and for the fans who still stick with them. "It's been 4 long years since we've really played a show." With opportunities to come back with a new different style. They began working on a new EP which is set to be release late this year. "I hope people will accept our new music and accept who we are as a person not from the type of music we play," says Kevin.
