Inside Conflict

Inside Conflict (IxC) formed in 1998 in Poitier, France, as a four-member band playing and mixing extreme musics: new-school Hardcore compositions with elements of Grind and Death. They released their first maxi Headless in 2000 on the Belgium label Next Sentence Rec. They quickly recorded and released their first full-length album Unearthed from Wonderland in 2001 on the French label Overcome Records. The album is primarily made up of new-school Hardcore songs, either mixed with Grind or Death structures. Unearthed from Wonderland was largely acclaimed by specialized press, fanzines, etc. and the band began to play across Europe with prestigious bands such as Madball and Napalm Death. They also played with Overcomes' Nostromo and Like Peter At Home. IxC recorded their second album Spherical Mirage with Stephane Buriez (front-man of the most famous French Death Metal band Loudblast) in 2004: it resulted in much more heavy and less Hardcore songs than their other releases. Spherical Mirage was also released on Overcome Records. During year 2005, the band decides to split, primarily because of the departure of their guitarist.
