Ira! Biography
Ira! was an 80's Brazilian rock band from São Paulo. Formed by Nasi (vocal), Edgard Scandurra (guitar), Ricardo Gaspa (bass) and André Jung (drums). Their songs were strongly influenced by the Mod sound of The Who, the hard rock of Led Zeppelin and the punk rock of The Clash. After making it big in the 80s, Ira! (both the Portuguese word for anger and a reference to the Irish Republican Army) faded away in the 90s, regained some popularity in the 00s and eventually split in 2007.
