Singer-songwriter Ivdia started learning music at the age of 7, when she was selected to be part of the prestigious San Juan Children’s Choir. With this institution the artist had the opportunity of displaying her talent at various countries in Europe, South and North America, including the acclaimed Carnegie Hall in New York City and the Musikverein in Viena, Austria. Through these experiences, Ivdia discovered the importance of cultural diversity and the arts in the emotional and spiritual wellbeing of humanity. This special sensibility is translated in each of her songs 2009 marks the release of her new album “Entre lagrimas y risas”, under the genre of alternative pop. Here we can find a more mature artist. The singer-songwriter plays her beautiful and unique voice over a mixture of alternative rhythms. It is a creative and fresh album, with a positive and important life message. “Entre lagrimas y risas”, with “Al fin” and "Buscando la Felicidad" as first singles was in charge of 4 talented producers: Germán Ortiz, José Gómez (Wisin y Yandel, Franco de Vita, Enrique Iglesias, Loonie Tunes), José “Pepe” Velásquez and Jean Rodríguez. It also includes the special performance of acclaimed American duo the Black Violin. About this new production Ivdia tells us “My motivations have change during the years. In the present, I will like to contribute to society in a positive and honest way, by doing what I do best and love the most… singing and writing music and lyrics that will touch deep into the heart of the public. That will make me very happy.” To love and to be loved, laughter’s and tears, body and soul… in the album we can see reflected the life and passion of this young Boricua who is ready to conquer the world with her strength and free spirit which makes her already a winner.
