Heya my name’s James Baum & I was born and bred in Penang Malaysia. I’m an R&B influenced songwriter, arranger, producer and recording artist. Currently set up "Red Room Studio" and am working on my debut "Backstage". Also currently composing a track for Dina (Malaysian Idol runner up) and producing a track for Samir as well as recording many other up and coming and inspired young singers. Releasing James Baum -E.P- in July as an insight on my style and talent for the upcoming album. I’ve loaded up the songs that are in the E.P just for you ( So comment on the songs I need your feedback ) Brought you the hit "Skirts" and "Letter in a Song" and produced, composed, and collaborated on many hit tracks for many artists such as "The Feature -Liang", "Peejay Peejay - Doul", "Ku ingin, Need a break, Seketika - Dayang Nurfaizah", "Weekender - Reefa" and many more. Won the MACP award as a lyricist in 2004 for the most played English song of the year and the Hitz.Fm best urban award in 2005. Music is my calling and my way of expression. I have come a long way from being a featuring artist and opening acts for artists such as Poetic Ammo and Reefa.I have developed my musical character and knowledge in the recording arts far surpassing my grass root level days and is now ready to bring forward fresh and refreshing music to all that appreciate.
