Metal Fume Fever Lyrics

A year 2000 release from Juliana Hatfield formerly of the Blake Babies Boston based 1980's indie band which won some high acclaim, Juliana Hatfield Three, and Some Girls (not to be confused with the OTHER band called Some Girls). The CD, Juliana's Pony- Total System Failure, with grinding guitars, heavy nastiness, howling guitar feedback - a clearly grinding indie tunes giving homage to the past of such greats as the Stooges with the Juliana flair added in. Total System Failure is a breakaway CD showing Juliana's heavier side with cynical abandon. Critics hated the CD believing Hatfield was cornered in the acoustic realm giving up her harder indie edge. But the CD shows a different side from downright nasty abandon to up-beat conciousness. Standing on it's own it's a curious foray into a harder edged yet depressing and hooky view of malaise.
