Legitimate Business Biography
Legitimate Business is a four-piece punk rock band from New Jersey. They have been seen all over various parts of the eastern US, sharing the stage with significant national and regional acts, including Catch 22, Mustard Plug, Big D and The Kids Table, Against All Authority, The Pietasters, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Whole Wheat Bread, Bomb The Music Industry!, and many more... In 2005, Legitimate Business was nominated for the Asbury Music Award of "Best Ska Band". The band also placed 5th in Jersey Shows' 200 band, 5 round Battle of the Bands. In 2006, Legitimate Business was invited to submit the song "80 on 80" to be featured in the video game Tony Hawk's Project 8. The game received IGN's award for Best Licensed Soundtrack on PlayStation 3 in 2006 and it can now be found in well over one-million homes for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PSP, Playstation 2, and Xbox. In 2007, Legitimate Business self-released their debut EP, If You Can't Take The Heat... After a CD release weekend of headlining shows featuring Rick Johnson (Mustard Plug), the CD was officially released on June 26th, 2007. The band then followed up with the fifteen-day tour in support of the new CD. The band has completed their new full length album titled First World Problems with Mike Oettinger (SAY ANYTHING, LIFETIME). It was mastered by Alan Douches and is slated for release in the Summer of 2009.
