Lifter & O!mega

This is a Project between two people who love Hip-Hop and want to see it grow instead of seeing it fail. Hopping that our words will uplift and bring truth in any shape and figure. Even though without major tools to make radio hits, we still strive. Bio: We are a hip-hop group named, Lifter & O!mega. We are two young gentlemen from the san Fernando valley, Edras Garcia (Lifter) & Ruben Carias (O!mega). We started as a group two years ago when we would do sound recording at our youth ministry. After becoming closer friends we started becoming more serious with our musical talents, having underground hip-hop as a big influence in our lives. Lifter being the Emcee of the group and O!mega being the Producer, we became who we are today. Our main goal is to provide music that every person can listen to and won’t turn away. We wanted to construct music that is positive and illustrates our struggles and our lifestyles, Mainly to create uplifting Hip-Hop. With not much tools to use and not much doors open, we recorded our first mixtape, Raw Minerals EP, thru the macbook pro internal mic, in early 2009. We received much feedback and love from the album. We were doing performances at local youth groups and hip-hop stores. With our second project in mind, we wanted to distribute better quality. So with that in mind, our second mixtape, Proud To Be A Problem, was recorded in a studio. We released it at the end of 2009 and knowing it’s our best work. As of right now we have had 300 downloads from our latest CD and 167 from our First CD and have given away more then 500 plus CD’s to audiences. We are currently in process of making our official LP as well as our third mixtape. Many people confront us about not selling our material and our response is always the same. We do it for the love of the music and the art of it.
