The question may raise, “ Mamiboys ??? Who they are ???” . To get to know about Mamiboys, the introduction to Rap Artist , Krisheno , is a must . Krisheno born in 21st November 1986 , in the eastern side of Singapore, introduced himself to the rap game at the year 2008 through his first E.P album D.F.D Gangsterz Paradizo featuring debut artist Kevi-J. Consisting of five songs the album was sold through social networking sites such as Myspace and his official blog spot in goggle. Following up to a warm response, Krisheno was planning for a gang that would be consistent in his upcoming albums. Mamiboys was founded from the word Mummy Boys. Whereby the obedience and pampered introductory was more prominent than the stylish, boyish and charm that was missing. However, Krisheno developed a rephrase of the word whereby to stand out to the target audience and moreover to be recalled easily in the minds of listeners. The word “ Mami “ was also used to refer to “Hot looking girls”. By changing Mummy Boys to Mamiboys, it developed a new meaning. As of when pronounced it could be taken as “Mummy Boys” and by reading it, it could be understood as “ Boys for the Hot girls”. This was far more catchy ,stylish and boyish when compared. The Mummy Boys became “MAMIBOYS” !!! Krisheno born in 21st November 1986 in the Eastern side of Singapore started rapping from the age of thirteen. From the voids of Singapore to his first E.P album D.F.D Gangsterz Paradizo. CAREER Krisheno’s first major chance came by after four years in 2007 when he was offered a chance to pursue his education in the Film Industry of India where he joined for a Certificate Course in Film Tech at CFIS. A one year journey brought him contacts to his entrance to the music line. The meeting of Kevi- J introduced new openings as of the E.P Album D.F.D Gangsterz Paradizo. MYSPACE Topping the Singapore Myspace music charts for over a month, D.F.D made its way as a entrance ticket for Krisheno to the music industry. Over 120000+ plays in less than two weeks, Gangsterz Paradizo became the favourites of listeners. Achieving more than 255000+ plays in the third week for a single song, it climbed up the charts pretty quick where listeners started saying “DRUGS & DOZE” which is the theme of the song. Soon enough the album was being sold by Krisheno through his Myspace page and official blog. UNDERGROUND YET UNSTOPPABLE Though Krisheno was still considered an underground act, he was spoke about in forums such as S.T.O.M.P ( SINGAPORE ), Epinions, (U.S.A) Jee Juh etc… From various blogs to forums to comments, Krisheno started developing real quick in his acts. THE FIXX COVERS Krisheno soon was interviewed by “Fixx” an online magazine in Singapore for the covers. People were already raising questions on who he was and where he came from. The fixx successfully had it all covered in a single interview and sealing it all up by featuring Krisheno in the front covers of their magazine. Audiences were thrilled to know more about this artist. KRISHENO UP IN SEARCH ENGINES Soon enough, by attracting major traffic to Krisheno’s sites, he was listed up in search engines such as Goggle, Yahoo and Msn.com. MAMIBOY KEVI-J Kevi-J born in South India a rapper belonging to the Genre Hip-Hop is also known as the very first member to be alongside Krisheno in his tracks even before the birth of Mamiboys. CAREER Kevi-J was introduced to the industry by a stunning introduction anyone could come out with. First track and a first hit which attracted more than 255000+ plays in Myspace in just a week. The track which pushed Krisheno’s D.F.D to the top spot of the Singapore’s Myspace music charts for over a month in consistent. Of course the track “ Gangsterz Paradizo” rocked the stages as the favourites. EARLY CAREER A series of losses before the first hit with Krisheno is the real fact which many ain’t aware of. A Hindi album then a Tamil album which hit the drains even before completion was the steps for the rise of D.F.D. Kevi-J’s effort was all spilled down the drain even before the encounter with the Mamiboy Krisheno himself. When they met it just looked like another incomplete project but the tables turned this time. A gift for extreme hard work and struggles. A single track and the first in studios hit the chart busters. MAMIBOY BARDY Bardy, Mamiboys latest member was born in December 15 1985 in the Southern Side of India. Not forgetting his days before being a Mamiboy, he has been rapping for more than three years. Though his move into Mamiboys gave a south Indian flavour to this international style artists, nothing has changed. Bardy’s entry was much more fiery enough to rough hardcore kind of themes to the upcoming project “Just Blanks”. Bardy’s involvement in the gang has given great aspects from the music lovers and lifted up the expectations of the contribution of this yound and upcoming rapper. The hype is outstanding and so will be the outcome of Mamiboys. CAREER Bardy’s career as a rapper kicked off the stages in 2005 when his first debut rap was about the history of his institution he graduated from. What started off as a passion soon developed to a national level symposium and speeded all over the nation in the name of Darwin Boyz . HE’S NOT JUST A RAPPER Bardy is not just a rapper belonging to the hip-hop industry but he went on to proof himself as a talented dancer on May 2007 when he had an opportunity to perform in the show called “ Beat Hipsterz” in Downtown Pub ( Bangalore ). A performance which earned Bardy unstoppable love from the crowd. Bardy has also great creativity in composing music. Besides all this, Bardy is also a very talented Volleyball Player. Representing various states in India as a Volleyball player and adding awards to his name, Bardy remains more focused in the music industry. Though bardy has been a single rapper not wanting to be part of any band or group, Mamiboys attracted him. The song “ Gangsterz Paradizo” made Bardy more interested to know more about Krisheno and Mamiboys. Kevi-J being a close friend of Bardy, introduced this young talent to Krisheno in the year 2008. This sparkled up the lights and soon Bardy was one of Mamiboys. Though Bardy is a master in his game of Rap, he is also a jack of many other. Being a talented Volleyball player , Dancer, Music composer, he is also a good mimicry artist. Earning himself a name “ THE LEGEND OF MIMICRY “ from his career in C.S.I. A very talented young man with lots of productivity will definitely raise the aspects of Mamiboys. DISCOGRAPGHY D.F.D Gangsterz Paradizo is named as the first promo album of Krisheno. Featuring Kevi-J, this promo served its purpose more than what a promo should do. Topping the charts and selling a few thousands by not even being part of the merchandize market is the highlight for the entry of Krisheno as an artist into the hip-hop world. Topping the music charts in Myspace ( A SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES FOR MAJOR ARTISTS SUCH AS CHRIS BROWN, NELLY , BLACK EYED BEAS AND MANY MORE… ) for one month in a row, among all other Singaporean artists, it attracted a total play count of over 500000+ in just two weeks. Of course Gangsterz Paradizo being the favourites for its slow rhythmic tempo and harsh explicit words about the drug world, it won the hearts of many. This promo also includes other tracks which speaks about adolescence, sexual attraction and about the love of modern times. A slow paced, rhythmic album which has no hard on fast moving songs yet it was loved by many music lovers. Pumping up the charts over a month , Hip-Hop was introduced to a new man in the show by the name of Krisheno. JUST BLANKS ( CURRENT PROJECT ) After their successful promo album D.F.D Gangsterz Paradizo, Mamiboys have been working on their latest album “Just Blanks”. Scheduled to hit the stores in 2010, it has already anticipated fans as a commercial feast. This album will be a mixture of everything from the hard times of low waged workers to fancy ladies and of course the introduction of the first female artist, Mystery J to feature alongside Mamiboys. Mystery J will be featuring alongside Krisheno in two tracks called “Stripclub” and “Show What’s In Store”. Introducing Mamiboys to their first ever fusion which will bring various languages such as Hindi and African, this album is promised to get down to every music lover.
