Mandee Marie

Mandee was born “Amanda Marie Lloyd” in Altamonte Springs Florida on March 22, 1992. Her talent and charisma were evident since she began singing at the age of three. “That little girl would perform for her family and friends any time she had a chance. Her favorite pastime was singing along with her favorite music with her mini karaoke machine.” “I grew up in a home where music was a large part of our daily life. I was exposed to and developed appreciation for all styles of music, from Frank Sinatra to classical, rock, and country,” Mandee said. At the age of 12, she became interested in learning to play the guitar. “The only lessons I had was my mom showing me a few cords, and my grandfather teaching me some vocal exercises,” says Mandee. She continued to improve her skills as a self-taught artist and said “I remember looking in the mirror, playing my guitar and singing for hours”. Along with songs by Mariah Carey, I also enjoyed music by GreenDay, The Beatles, Alanis Morrisette, and No Doubt.” “She’s always had an incredible ear for music,” Mandee’s dad said. “I remember her listening to a song, picking up her guitar, and teaching herself the cords in a very short time.” Mandee continued to sing for family and friends and eventually began writing her own songs. Shortly after, she was encouraged to post videos on Youtube and quickly developed a large fan base. “I had several requests to post more videos right away. The funny thing was, the fans wanted me to do covers from so many different genre’s, I was singing a little of everything from Mariah Carey to MGMT.” Mandee’s Youtube videos lead her to connections with two local producers, along with a talent agent who wanted to “build a band” around Mandee. She wasn’t interested in taking that direction at the time. “What I really wanted was to be in a studio, recording, going solo, and producing an album,” Mandee said. When Mandee was 16, she caught the attention of Producer Mike Paone with Absynth Media Group. Mike realized Mandee’s immense potential and was particularly impressed with her diverse range and song writing ability from Solo Acoustic, to Pop Dance, and everything in between. In September of 2010, Mandee signed with Absynth Media Group and began realizing her dream of recording her debut album, which is currently in production and scheduled for an early to mid 2011 release. Shortly after signing with Absynth Media Group, Mandee’s debut single titled “Vampire”, hit stores in September of 2010 and gained immediate traction with her growing worldwide fan base. The release of Mandee’s album in 2011 will reflect her ability to resonate her talent through a diverse genre of vocal and musical styles. “My goal as an artist is to acquire a diverse fan base similar to what I experienced with Youtube. I love all styles of music and would love to appeal to a broad group of fans.” This is clearly just the beginning for Mandee Marie, but her music is beginning to gain worldwide attention, and there appears to be no end in sight for what she can, and will accomplish.
