Mensch Biography
Mensch, more than a band, is a collective, whom main contributors are: Dave Falconer (piano, keyboards, vocals, occasional mandolin), Stuart Eastham (double bass, bass, guitar, mandolin, keyboards), Helen Orrett (vocals, guitar, percussion), Lynn Holt (flute, melodica, penny whistle, recorder), Hannah Groarke (violin), John Edgar (drums, percussion, violin), Howard Mills (guitar, keyboards), Trev Redshaw (decks and inspiration); plus, there are often other musicians dropping by the studio to throw in ideas and performances. As you can tell, in fact Mensch is a collective, even 'cause, some way, everyone is involved with writing and arranging, with the programming and production. The result is a heterogeneous music, poetic, incisive, conducted by the multiple influences of its many contributors – even so, carrying a self mood. They debuted with a 2 tracks promotional CD (Goddess, featuring 'Thea' and 'The Feeder' – download available on their site). After it came out the single Miqano (featuring also the song 'Ok' - August, 2003).
