Miki Gonzales Biography
Miki Gonzales is one of the most important artists of 1980s Peruvian pop. His style allowed him to be recognised abroad but not as a commercial success. He mixes Afro-Peruvian music with New Wave and people can appreciate this with hits such as "Vamos a Tocache" or "Akundún", which have featured heavily on national radio. After a brief hiatus in the late 90s and early 00s, he has started new projects mixing Electronica with Andean rhythms. His album "Cafe Inkaterra" was a successful result of this and he has attracted a new youth following.
