Compelling history, passionate dedication and self-proclaimed super-unique rock sound: MirrorView. MirrorView originally started out under the name Chairmen Of The Bored, but in 2007 had to change their name due to legal reasons. Drawing influences from a vast range of rock, pop and punk, MirrorView have constructed a distinctive sound - with their focus on unforgettable melodies, an effective less-is-more approach to the music, and their passionate dedication, it's no wonder they've been making quite a name for themselves. The band says this of their sound: "It’s not pop, it’s not punk, it’s not emo. We cannot be limited to put our music into set genres, so we have stepped outside these limitations. Of course we still all each have our influences in the band, from All-American Rejects to Rise Against! And so over the years our music has just developed and we have ended up with a style that isn’t like anyone else’s, as anyone who has heard us will testify. That’s why I believe we stand out from the pack.” The band became full-time back in May 2006 after being together for 5 years. A self-promoted tour that month saw the band supporting headliners like Zebrahead, Enter Shikari, Sikth, Skindred, Brigade, The Blackout, Fenix TX etc to name a few. Competing against 3000 other acts, MV then won a spot on Channel 4, which attracted management, booking and public relations agencies to work alongside the band. These relationships produced appearances in many publications, as well as radio and net-radio play across the UK and much more. MirrorView pride themselves in being one of the few unsigned UK bands to headline their own tours. Considering also, that from May 2006 to the end of the same year, the band will have played 150+ shows, we are looking at one dedicated band.
