Mukala

Mukala are a South African band who had a great review in Cross Rhythms magazine back in the mid-nineties with their album sporting a photo of a goat on a blue hill. With a mix of drum-beats and stop/start breaks reminiscent of Skillet but much softer their quirky cheeky lyrics are also phrased in quite a close manner i.e. a bit choppy but this compliments the music. High is one of the tracks which stand out using music samples of a sputnik-like beep the track becomes at some points orb-esque and quite trancey/ ambient. This music is hard to define (alternative rock should cover it!), great to listen to.
