my uncle the wolf_ the black. the blue. the banned from brooklyn. in the last month of the first decade of the new millennium, my uncle the wolf documented FLUSH. before the winter sessions began, my uncle the wolf reset, burning every page in their book; and out of nothing came... FLUSH- a musical collective governed by the cardinal rule: anything goes. work on the blueprints began after returning from their first european tour, which included a 3-week leg as the last band to tour with the legendary MINISTRY. experience gained and will tested through trial by fire, mutw returned with no desires, and no boundaries. members zac hutton and george p vasilopoulos would craft FLUSH over the next year and a half in near complete isolation. performed in treefort studios and modified at smt studios, this would be the first time the banned recorded in their native city: making FLUSH a documentation of the wolf in its habitat. channeling the neo-brooklynite through music described as 'dynamic-pulse-groove', zac and george executed their carefully planned strategy, RUN.UR.ISH. FLUSH was crafted for experience in the LP, and digital playlist format. The songs are not to be consumed separately, but experienced as part of something thematically larger. FLUSH blends the vintage with the modern; analog with digital; black and blues. As grimy as the new york city streets they were raised on, the most unique aspect of FLUSH is the attitude.
