50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, left a lot of Twitter users feeling angry over the weekend with his remarks about the Japanese earthquake and tsunami that he said were meant to 'shock'.
As the West Coast of the US awaited the arrival of the tsunami on Friday, the 35-year-old wrote: 'Wave will hit 8am them crazy white boys gonna try to go surfing.'
He added: 'Look this is very serious people I had to evacuate all my hoe's from LA, Hawaii and Japan. I had to do it. Lol.'
Hour later he took to Twitter to apologise for his Tweets - and to explain why he wrote the previous comments.
He then explained:'Nah this is nuts but what can anyone do about it. Let us pray for anyone who has lost someone.
'Some of my tweets are ignorant I do it for shock value. Hate it or love it. I'm cool either way.'
