Playing songs by AC/DC to a Great White Shark can calm the normally aggressive animal, according to a South Australian charter boat operator.
Matt Waller said he made the discovery after speaking to a man who had been diving in Guadeloupe, who claimed playing certain music to sharks helped change their behaviour.
"I started going through my albums and AC/DC was something that really hit the mark,” Waller told ABC.
"Their behaviour was more investigative, more inquisitive and a lot less aggressive - they actually came past in a couple of occasions when we had the speaker in the water and rubbed their face along the speaker which was really bizarre."
Waller said AC/DC's 'You Shook Me All Night Long' was particularly effective in changing a shark's behaviour.
Sharks don't have ears and instead react to different frequencies and vibrations in the water.
