The first AC/DC album in 8 years will be sold exclusively through Wal-Mart in the USA.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the yet-to-be titled album, like the Eagles 'Long Road Out Of Eden', will exclusive to the retail giant. Wal-Mart is the biggest retailer of CDs in America.
When the Eagles decided to sell their 'Long Road Out Of Eden' album at Wal-Mart they received a $30 million check on payday, the release of the album.
The Eagles Wal-Mart deal was for an order of 3 million units at $10 each, paid in advance and non-refundable.
Other retailers wishing to stock the album bought their stock over the counter at Wal-Mart.
The AC/DC deal is expected to be in the same region.
The last AC/DC album was 'Stiff Upper Lip', released in February 2000.
The new album will be their 15th. Production recently finished in Vancouver until the direction of Brendan O'Brien.
The AC/DC line-up has remained unchanged since 'Stiff Upper Lip'. It is still Brian Johnson on lead vocals, Angus Young on lead guitar, Malcolm Young on rhythm guitar, Cliff Williams on bass and Phil Rudd on drums.
