Adam Green publishes his debut book

Adam Green does not only write song lyrics. On January 26th 2005, ‘magazine' was published, his very first book for the international book market. It contains a collage of text's, which present Adam Green beyond his song writing as a brilliant, daring and shrewd artist of language. ‘magazine' is published by German publisher Suhrkamp responsible for publishing the works of Herman Hesse and Oscar Wilde and is available via the following websites www.ibiservice.com and

Adam Green is one of the most acclaimed and controversial young artists to come out of New York in recent times. Tape recorder and notebook always ready at hand. Whatever occurs to him lands either in the recorder as a song or in a small book, later to become a pulsating text: For a while Adam Green collected the texts he wrote as beside his lyrics in fanzines â€" the so-called magazines. Together with the long poem, “The Flowers of Capitalism” and other texts from between 2001 and 2004, these texts are now for the first time available in book form. Allen Ginsberg and Bob Dylan linger in these poems, as does Guillaume Apollinaire and perhaps even Adam's great-grandmother Felice Bauer, Franz Kafka's infamous lover - whispers through his verses.

Adam Green released his third solo album ‘Gemstones' on Rough Trade in January this year, his previous releases include Garfield and last year's highly acclaimed Friends of Mine.

The news on MTV comes thick and fast, puberty continues, wars are led, the absurd lies on the street, and sometimes it helps to simply number ideas from the beginning to end.
