Singer Adam Lambert has blasted claims that he is upset with Demi Lovato after she reportedly replaced him as the support act on her world tour with Nick Jonas.
The former American Idol contestant was due to open for the Cool for the Summer singer when she embarked on her next set of concerts. But on Friday (23Oct15) it was reported the 22 year old had replaced Adam with Nick, leaving him upset. Adam was quick to set the record straight though, taking to social media to reassure his fans that the decision wasn't a personal one.
"Aww I love you all very much," he wrote on Twitter. "No beef tween @ddlovato & @nickjonas and me. Biz negotiations are complex - why do we care about the #rumors? (sic)"
Demi clearly appreciated the 33 year old's kind words, retweeting his comment hours later before replying with a series of kissy-faced emojis.
"I love you @adamlambert," she wrote.
However Demi didn't confirm that Nick, 23, was her new opening act and the Jealous singer has also remained quiet on the situation.
The pair has been close friends for years and has recorded two duets during their respective careers. Demi featured on a track called Avalanche for Nick's album, and they put together an impromptu song called Afterglow during a rare moment of free time.
"I had an hour, one hour free and then I had made other plans [when Nick hit me up and] said, 'What are you doing?' and I was like, 'Uh, I have an hour, I'm just going to get food or something.' " she told MTV News last year. "And he's like, 'Come to the studio.,' I came to the studio, heard his new music and was obsessed and then it just evolved into this song that we recorded together on one microphone at the same time and it was very stripped down, very acoustic and it was a song called Afterglow."
