Alexandra Burke, last night, was the only UK artist to perform at the Chaka Khan Hall of Fame Tribute concert in New York.
Alexandra took to the stage to perform at NYC's legendary Apollo Theatre alongside such luminaries as Mary J Blige, Erykah Badu, Patti LaBelle, Deborah Cox and Jennifer Holliday. She even sang a duet with Jennifer and Deborah. The concert was to celebrate the induction of Chaka Khan into the Apollo Hall of Fame, and guests included Sarah Jessica Parker, host Wayne Brady and of course, guest of honour, Chaka Khan.
Alexandra says: "Last night was so overwhelming! I was unsure if the moment was even real, performing alongside such legends. Wow!'
Alexandra is staying in New York for two months recording her upcoming third album. She has recently signed a new management deal with Kevin Liles and KWL, the ex Def Jam president who currently manages artists such as Nelly, Trey Songz and Estelle.
