Alice Cooper thinks that the best rockers at the moment are female.
Famed for his theatrical rock concerts and notorious exploits, the 63-year-old knows a thing or two about rock 'n' roll.
In a radio interview Alice revealed that he thinks that women are the ones to watch in the current music scene.
'The most controversial rockers are girls,' Alice exclaimed on Australia's Kyle and Jackie O radio show. 'The guys have gone really politically correct and don't want to upset anybody and the girls are up their rocking.'
Alice has been in the music business for over four decades and has seen all the trends come and go.
However, he went on to name some of the women that he felt were breaking the mould today.
'[Lady] Gaga's great, she's brought some life [to the industry],' he enthused. 'And look at Katy Perry she's created this insane sort of Disney character. And then there's Shakira ' she's got more testosterone then most of the boys out there.'
Alice also revealed his respect for pop/hip-hop star Ke$ha who he recently collaborated with. The 24-year-old sings the satanic role in his song What Baby Wants. Alice believes that Ke$ha has rock 'n' roll in her heart.
'She's going to end up being a rock singer,' he predicted. 'That's what she really wants to do.'
