Aly & AJ UK debut

US pop sensations Aly & AJ are set to rock your world this spring with their debut single, "Chemicals React", released as a download on Disney's Hollywood Records via the Angel Music Group on May 28th 2007.

Aly & AJ are the hit US teen pop duo consisting of sisters Alyson Reane "Aly" Michalka (18) and Amanda Joy "AJ" Michalka (16). The LA born sisters were raised in Seattle, where they started playing piano at the age of six. They both picked up the guitar four years ago and started to write songs just six months after that.

Since then they have sold over 750,000 copies of their debut album "Into The Rush" in the US and hit No.2 on the Billboard chart with their single "Do You Believe In Magic"

Aly co-stars as Keely Teslow in the hit Disney Channel series, "Phil of the Future", which allows her to sing and act, while AJ has had guest spots on "Six Feet Under" and regular roles on classic soap opera "General Hospital".

"Chemicals React" provides the perfect introduction to the multitalented duo. The track is an infectious slice of melodic rock/pop that has already been a big hit in the USA, topping Radio Disney's "Most Requested" chart. The single will be followed on June 4th by Aly & AJ's debut album "Into The Rush".

In addition to their musical success, the siblings were recently in Toronto filming their first movie together, the Disney Channel original film, "Cow Belles", which recently premiered in the US.

But music remains front and centre for the duo. As Aly says, "Music is our heart, our soul, and our roots. It's who we really are. We just want to be real, genuine, express the way we honestly feel, and let that come out in our music".
