'American Idol' Is Full Of Surprises ... And Drake!

The top four ladies on "American Idol" will do it all over again next week, as no one was sent home on Thursday's (April 25) elimination show.

At the top of the show, Ryan Seacrest promised "some shocking news that will affect the judges and turn the competition upside down. It's going to mean another serious night of drama."

The "shocking news" was this: Even though the judges' save was never enacted, the use of it was built into the show's production calendar. So instead of ending the show a week early, the top four will give it another go next week, with the totals from this week's vote added into next week's tally. From there, the lowest vote-getter will be sent packing on next Thursday's elimination show.

Amber Holcomb and Candice Glover were revealed to be in the bottom two on Thursday's show. With their reprieve, they will work to gain ground on the week's top two finishers, Kree Harrison and Angie Miller.

A total of 38 million votes were cast following Wednesday's performance episode, Seacrest reported.

Earlier on the show, Drake showed up to surprise Glover, who performed his "Find Your Love" on Wednesday. He later sat down at the judges' table, giving a brief glimpse of what a Drake-Nicki-Randy-Mariah panel would look like.

Also on the show, Stefano Langone returned to perform his single "Yes to Love," and season 10 winner Lee DeWyze came back to the "Idol" studio to perform his new single "Silver Lining."

The theme of next week's performances will be "Now and Then," according to Seacrest.
