Amy Winehouse used to watch "baby channels all day long", her father Mitch says.
The tragic singer loved children so much she used to spend hours viewing programmes about babies being born with her grandmother.
Before her death in July 2011, the Back to Black singer was open about her desire to start a family but her chaotic personal life didn't allow her to have a child.
"When Amy was 20, they [Amy and her grandmother] would sit and watch baby channels all day long. And if they went out shopping, they used to stop them and record them while they were out. Just watching babies being born all day long, my mum and Amy together, they loved it," Mitch told UK TV show Daybreak.
Mitch set up the Amy Winehouse Foundation shortly after his daughter's passing. He explained it was an obvious decision to dedicate some of the funds to disadvantaged children.
"She loved children, she loved babies, so it wasn't an incredible leap for us to set up the foundation dedicated to disadvantaged children and young people," he said.
