The coroner who allegedly allowed his unqualified wife to preside over the Amy Winehouse inquest death has been suspended, according to reports.
Dr. Andrew Scott Reid's partner Suzanne Greenaway recorded a verdict of death by misadventure, stating the singer died as an "unintended consequence".
It emerged earlier this month (February 1) that the coroner at Amy Winehouse's inquest was not fully qualified.
Coroner Suzanne Greenaway resigned from her job in November, one month after completing the investigation because she did not meet the strict rules governing the appointment of coroners.

Rules clearly state that Greenaway should have been a solicitor in the Law Society for at least five years, but she had only been part of the organisation for two-and-a-half.
This new information could now mean that thirty of the inquests she worked on, including Winehouse's, could be declared illegal.
