The red and white chiffon dress designed by Thai designer Disaya that the late singer wore on the cover of her Back To Black album was snapped up by Fundacion Museo de la Moda in Chile, according to CBS.
Going under the hammer at Kerry Taylor Auctions in London alongside dresses worn by Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn, the garment went for four times its asking price, with all the proceeds going to the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
Dad Mitch, who set up the charity to help vulnerable young people, was at the auction and said he was thrilled with the result.
'We are just over the moon and this is a wonderful start to the foundation,' he said.
