Last.fm Trends looks at the numbers to what legacy the singer leaves behind.
Earlier this month Last.fm Trends revealed that Amy Winehouse's fans had been steadily declining through 2011, with the publicity generated by her performance in Serbia not helping matters at all.
But that's changed in the last few days. Fans are no longer recoiling at the coverage, instead embracing the singer's music and returning in their droves.
He daily listeners shoot from around 5,000 to 35,000 in just a couple of days, a rate that increased into Monday morning as you play the likes of 'Rehab' and 'Just Friends'.
It's 'Back To Black' that you've played the most in response to the news, the mournful number soundtracking the grief of thousands of listeners and pushing it closer to 4.5 million plays from Last.fm listeners.
With this kind of growth we could well see Winehouse topping the Last.fm Hype Chart later this week, a fact which makes her death even more poignant.
