The singer has started playing the sedate game to keep her away from the party scene and is enjoying it so much she is now planning to get professional lessons.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "She played nine holes and loved it, she had a natural swing. Amy wants to learn how to play properly now."
Amy has allegedly been hitting the course during breaks from recording her new album – the follow-up to 2006's 'Back to Black'.
It seems the pop star's new boyfriend, director Reg Traviss, is having a positive influence on the previously wayward singer.
The couple – who are believed to have first started dating around May – are now planning to move in together.
A source said: "She's asked Reg to move in with her in her London home and he's agreed. He has met all the family and is a hit."
Close friends of the 26-year-old songstress – who was previously married to drug addict Blake Fielder-Civil - have credited her new lover for having a calming influence on her, which as led to her fully concentrating on getting her album out.
The source explained: "It has been a long time coming - and she's been writing songs for what seems an eternity - but finally Amy is satisfied and believes she has an album worthy to release."
