The 'Back To Black' singer is being given the staggering sum for her forthcoming shows in Brazil ' which begin tonight (08.01.11) ' as the country is keen to attract high-profile musicians.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Amy will be rolling in it. Brazil is keen to establish itself as a major player in live music and is attracting a host of top stars.
"A lot of money is being thrown around to secure their services and it's working."
In addition to her huge fee for the South American shows, it is believed the 27-year-old star will also earn a mammoth sum when she plays in Dubai next month. She was also paid around £1 million for a private concert in Russia in December.
It was revealed earlier this week that Amy plans to use her Brazil shows to showcase her long-awaited new material.
Singer Zalon - who is working with Amy and her band ' tweeted: "Amy Winehouse, @Zalon @Heshimaand band rehearsing for Brazil tour! Get Ready!New songs. (sic)"
Amy - who is currently said to be working on the follow up to her multi-million selling 'Back To Black' album - has rarely performed live since 2008, so fans are hoping this "one off" tour is a sign she is ready to make a comeback.
The singer - who has a complicated relationship with ex-husband and former drug addict Blake Fielder Civil - has seen her career suffer while she previously battled drug addiction but is now said to be trying to curb her partying lifestyle.
